HGV Class 1 Night Shunter

Driver Require are hiring an experienced night Yard Shunter in Dunstable!

The successful applicant  will be working on a 4 on 4 off rota as part of a friendly team.

Working hours 18:00 - 06:00 

 Pay Rates:

– Night £22.22 per hour

– Saturday £23.88 per hour

– Sundays & Bank Holidays £25.00 per hour

Job Role

• Vehicle & Trailer Movement: Manoeuvering HGVs and trailers safely and efficiently around company premises, yards, and warehouse areas.
• Safety & Inspections: Performing safety assessments and inspections on vehicles and trailers to ensure they are road-safe and compliant with regulations.
• Coupling & Uncoupling trailers 
• Site Support: Working within transport, production, or distribution departments to support operations, including the smooth transition during loading and unloading.
• Health & Safety: Adhering to strict health and safety guidelines, reporting hazards, and preventing workplace collisions.

What we’re looking for:

• HGV Class 1 licence 
• No more than 6 points (No majors!!)
• Someone who’s reliable
• Safety conscious and a team player
