HGV Class 1 Driver – Luton

Driver Require are recruiting reliable and professional HGV Class 1 Drivers for ongoing full time work with one of our prestigious clients based in Luton. You will be TRUNKING from the DC to various Depot locations.

HGV Class 1 Driver role details:

• Shift start times: 04.00 - 09:00

• Working days: 7 Day operation 

• Average shift length: 10 -12 hours

• PAID BREAKS

• Overtime after 10 hours

• Each shift you are assigned with a driver’s mate, to deliver cages and totes into stores usually overnight and early mornings.

HGV Class 1 Driver pay rates

Monday to Friday:

• Day shifts: £19.00 p/h PAYE 

• Night shifts: £22.00 p/h PAYE 

Candidate requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 1 Driving licence with no more than 6 points on license
   (no major endorsements)

• Minimum 1 year experience driving HGV Class 1

• Flexible availability to meet shift requirements

• Good knowledge of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive regulations

• Must pass an assessment following with an induction (paid if you do pass)
