HGV Class 2 Driver – Ampthill

Driver Require is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking HGV Class 2 Driver for a well-established, family-run logistics company based in Ampthill. Our client specialises in palletised general haulage and operates Monday to Friday, with occasional optional Saturday shifts. Start times range between 07:30 and 09:00.

Position details:

• Monday to Friday (occasional Saturdays)
• Start times between 07:30am and 09:00am
• Temp-to-Perm position
• Approx. 8–10 hours per day
• Minimum of 40 hours per week, with Saturday overtime available
• Multi-drop pallet deliveries 
• Duties will include loading/unloading at both the depot and customer sites

Pay Rates (including holiday pay):

• Weekdays: £16.03 per hour (PAYE)

• Saturdays: £24.04 per hour (PAYE)

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months’ experience driving HGV Class 2 vehicles
• Aged 25 or over
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling
• Good knowledge of Working Time Directive and driving regulations
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence (no major endorsements)
• Strong communication skills with a positive, customer-focused attitude
