HGV Class 2 Driver – Pallet Network Work

Location: Essex – CM1 to CM3, CM7 to CM9 and all CO (Colchester) postcodes
Start Times: 04:00 to 05:00
Finish: Between 16:00 to 18:00 approximately
Shifts: 7-Day Operation, primarily Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays (approximately 1 in 8)
Job Type: Ongoing ad-hoc with potential temp-to-perm opportunities

Role Overview:
The role involves working as part of a busy pallet network operation that has grown from 900 to over 1200 pallets delivered daily. Drivers will be responsible for local palletised freight delivery, typically completing 12 to 24 drops per route with two runs per day. The company is currently transitioning from three to four pallet networks.

Pay Rates (Weekday Standard):
PAYE: £13.75 per hour
Holiday Rolled Up: £15.41 per hour
Umbrella: £17.10 per hour

Enhanced pay is available for weekend and bank holiday shifts. Contact for exact rates.

Requirements:
Full Class 2 licence, CPC and Tacho card
No more than six penalty points
No major endorsements
Preferably one to two years of experience

Induction and Training:

No driving assessments currently required (subject to change)
Induction includes paperwork completion and ride-along training for one to two days
Drivers must download their Tacho data at the beginning and end of each day
Driving licence and DVLA check code must be provided when applying
