Coronavirus: Important Update for Drivers

To all our valued drivers:

As the COVID-19 crisis continues to evolve and impact on all our lives, we would firstly like to say a massive thank you to all of you who are working flat out under very challenging conditions to keep the wheels turning. Your efforts in keeping the shelves stacked and supplies delivered is vital to keeping this country going.

The ongoing situation, which affects businesses and individuals alike, is causing enormous uncertainty, but here at Driver Require, we are doing our best to maintain “business as usual”.

In response to the situation, I’m writing to you to keep you up to date:

• We are doing everything we can to keep our drivers working and our client’s businesses on the road.
• Yes, we are still recruiting new drivers, some of our clients are experiencing staff shortages due to the spread of the virus - so if you haven’t signed up with us before, or if you know someone who is looking for driving work, please call your local branch to arrange a registration (contact details are listed below).
• If you have previously registered with us and are currently looking for work – please get in touch with your local branch, we need you.
• We have a duty of care to the welfare of our staff so will require you to call ahead of any visit to our offices.
• We are taking extra precautions within our offices to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus; this includes monitoring our staff for any signs of illness as well as a robust cleaning and sanitation routine which includes disinfecting contact points such as doors, door handles, toilets, IT and registration equipment.
• Please ensure you are familiar with and follow self-Isolation guidance in relation to any individual who has recently been travelling in affected areas, anyone showing symptoms, and those living with a family member showing symptoms. These symptoms include: 
  • High temperature
  • New continuous cough

• We are providing our teams with the latest government and industry advice to ensure that everyone who works for Driver Require understands their role in looking after themselves, our drivers and our clients, including understanding the symptoms of the virus and when to self-isolate.

We will keep you updated on this fast-moving situation, but we intend to keep calm and carry on and keep putting the very best drivers on the road, to keep this country moving through these challenging times.
