Driver Require is ready for Ocado Driver of the Year 2018!

With a week to go, we’re beginning to get very excited about taking part in Ocado’s Driver of the Year 2018 event.

This year’s event will be held on Wednesday 17th October at Donington Park and we will once again be offering drivers a chance to test their parking manoeuvres by reversing our replica remote-controlled Class 1 lorry around our model track. Will anyone be able to beat last year’s winner, Mohamod Kibria, who won our prize of £150 Amazon gift vouchers, with a time of just 0.20 seconds?

The aim of the event is to recognise and reward Ocado’s safest drivers and we are once again proud to be co-sponsoring and taking part in this fantastic event.

We have nominated Jacek Jackiewicz as our LGV Driver of the Year. Jack is currently working in our Ocado Hatfield operation for us and has been driving there for the past 4 years. We believe he is one of our safest, most flexible drivers and is willing to work at almost any time of the day or night.

Last year we were also given the opportunity to sample some of the activities that Ocado laid on for its staff, including driving a Class 1 lorry around one of Donington’s circuits which was quite an incredible experience. We were also thoroughly thrilled when we put several high-performance cars, including the stunning Aston Martin, through its paces around the race track.
