From Then to Now: Daniella Laviola-Dyer

I joined Driver Require in March 2016 as an administrator within the accounts team. At 22, I was one of the youngest members of the company - eager to learn and ready to make my mark. It didn’t take long for things to progress. Soon after joining, I was offered the chance to take on payroll responsibilities for the business, and from that moment on, my role began to evolve rapidly.

A few years into my time here, I was generously supported to pursue parts of my accounting qualifications - an opportunity I embraced fully. With determination and a lot of hard work, I completed my studies and continued to grow professionally. Eventually, I stepped into the role of Finance Manager, leading a small but committed team, and working closely with branches across the company.

Along the way, I’ve been proud to receive the Employee of the Year award three times - recognition that means a great deal to me. But the true highlights of my journey have been the people and the memories: the laughs shared daily, the strong friendships I’ve formed, and the many unique moments that make Driver Require feel like a second home. 

The company has grown and adapted over the years, especially as we’ve navigated shifts in legislation and industry demands. With every challenge, I’ve learned more and continue to do so, especially in more advanced areas of the finance role.

One colleague who will always be in our hearts is Mike. We all miss him dearly, and his legacy continues to be felt throughout the business.

And of course, a special mention for Gwynne -  between the spreadsheets and the occasional impromptu singing sessions at the piano, we’ve found joy even in the busiest of days.

Driver Require has given me a place to grow, to be challenged, and to be part of something meaningful - a team that feels more like family.
