We were delighted to again be asked to support our neighbour in Stevenage, Tracks Autism, with their special Autism Friendly Santa’s grotto.
The Centre, which is located opposite our office in Boulton Road, was transformed into a Christmas paradise and safe space for children with an autistic spectrum condition as well as their families. For a child with autism or a related condition, Christmas can be an exciting but overwhelming time, and many are unable to meet Father Christmas in the usual public environments. The staff at TRACKS worked extremely hard to bring the festive spirit to Stevenage with no added stress for parents and carers.
Not only did it give much pleasure to the children visiting, but it also helped raise £1,000 for Tracks to carry on their great work.
If you’d like to get involved or if you’d like more information on the work that TRACKS do, visit their website: http://www.tracks-autism.org.uk or email them directly at info@tracks-autism.org.uk
